The fine-tune tool allows you to create images similar to an existing image on canvas. This can be used to create variations of the image or images that have similar composition to existing image. When using the Fine-tune tool, edit the prompt to describe the new image, and adjust the similarity level. It’s useful for evolving an image while preserving core elements like composition, color, or subject identity. Fine-tuning works especially well when you want to:
  • Change the season or lighting in a photo
  • Explore alternate directions without starting from scratch
You need to write a full description of the desired result. How to use fine-tune:
  1. Select an image on the canvas. The Fine-tune tab will auto-select.
  2. Enter a new prompt describing the new image.
  3. Adjust the similarity slider above the prompt field:
    • Higher similarity = retains more of the original image
    • Lower similarity = allows greater change and variation
  4. Click Modify image to generate a new result based on the prompt and similarity settings.
It’s important to understand the difference between fine-tune and prompt-based image editing. Fine-tune allows you to create images inspired by existing image, and prompt-based image editing allows you to do prompt guided changes. For example, in fine-tune you can create ten similar versions of the same image. And in prompt-based image editing you can restyle the image, or use the character from the image.
